How to design the bar code on the package of goods?

1) Size design. The size of the bar code symbol is determined by the magnification factor. The amplification factor can be selected in the range of 0.80 ~ 2.00 according to the size of the printing area of commodity packaging and printing conditions. The larger the magnification factor of bar code symbol, the easier its printing quality can be guaranteed. 29

2) Color matching design. The color collocation of bar code symbols mainly refers to the bar and empty color collocation. The reading of bar code symbol is realized by the different reflectance of different colors to the red light to distinguish the boundary and width of the bar, the space. Therefore, the greater the color contrast between the bar and the empty, the better. The bar color should be dark and the empty color should be light. White as a blank, black as a bar is the most ideal color combination, red should never be a bar.

3) Location design. The placement of bar code symbols should be based on the relatively uniform position of symbols, symbols not easy to deform, easy to scan and read.

The preferred location is the lower right half of the back of the main display surface of the package.

When the back of the commodity packaging is not suitable for placing the bar code symbol, you can choose another suitable surface of the lower right half of the area, but for large or bulky goods, the bar code symbol should not be placed on the bottom of the commodity packaging.
