There are a wide variety of wines in various countries. Despite repeated counterfeiting, counterfeit imported wines are still sold in order to seek improper benefits, causing great losses and even health hazards to consumers.

So how do you spot fake imported wine? An easy way to do this is to look closely at the bar code on the labels of imported wine bottles. From the bar code of each product, you can see the country of origin, the manufacturer, the name of the commodity and so on.

Take bar code 692 11685 1128 0 as an example:

The bar code is divided into 4 parts, from left to right:

1-3 digits: A total of 3 digits, corresponding to the bar code 692, is one of the country codes of China.

4-8 digits: a total of 5 digits, corresponding to 11685 of the bar code, representing the manufacturer's code, manufacturer's application, national allocation;

9-12 digits: a total of 4 digits, corresponding to the barcode 1128, represents the product code in the factory, which is determined by the manufacturer;

The 13th digit: a total of 1 digit, should be the bar code of 0, is a check code, according to a certain algorithm, calculated by the first 12 digits.
