The difference of 3 kinds of reading principle of bar code scanner
What are the differences between manual sensor, automatic sensor and steady on mode of barcode scanner? Friends who have been to the supermarket should have seen such a scene, when the cashier will scan the barcode of the item near the barcode scanner induction area, we will hear a "di" sound, the barcode of the product has been successfully read. This is because the scanner opens the automatic sensing scanning mode. Most bar code scanners have the self-sensing scanning function, which can be turned on or off according to the actual scanning needs. So what exactly is a scanner?
Barcode scanner has two reading modes, namely self-sensing scan mode and steady on scan mode. The self - induced scan mode is fundamentally different from the steady - on scan mode.
The scanning mode of the bar code scanner is also called the reading mode and scanning mode, which refers to a way for the scanning gun to read the bar code. By setting the scanner to different scanning modes, it can be applied to different scenarios. Common scanning gun reading methods are as follows:
(1) Manual reading mode:
Manual reading mode, also known as button mode, is one of the most common scanning gun reading modes. In this reading mode, the illumination light (aiming light) lights up after the bar code is pressed and the code can be read by aiming at the bar code. When the reading is successful or the key is released, the illumination light (aiming light) will go out and stop the code reading. Repeat this step the next time you read the code.
(2) Changliang reading mode:
Changliang reading mode, also known as continuous reading mode, is usually used in unattended application scenarios and can liberate part of human work. In this reading mode, when the bar code is set as steady on (continuous) reading mode, the lamp (aiming light) of the bar code is in the state of continuous bright. At this time, the bar code is in the state of continuous working. When a bar code passes by, the bar code can obtain and parse the bar code information.
In long light reading mode, usually a same bar code can only be read once when placed under the bar code, unless it is removed and re-passes through the reading area of the bar code. For example, if the bar code reading interval is set to 3S, the same bar code cannot be read within 3 seconds after the first bar code passes, and the same bar code can be read after 3 seconds.
(3) Induction reading mode:
Inductive reading mode is also known as automatic sensing mode. In the automatic sensing mode, the reading engine will automatically detect the image taken. When the scene changes, it will read the image within the limit of "single code reading time".
There are usually "two modes" of induction:
① Induction mode - common mode: in this state, after the scanning gun triggers the induction, a barcode passes by, after reading the barcode, the aiming light (aiming light) is immediately off and the next induction is entered, or after the "word reading time" is timed out, the light is off and the next induction is entered. The bar code is usually in this mode by default.
② Induction mode - continuous mode: in this state, after the scanning gun triggers the induction, a bar code passes by, after reading the bar code, the aiming light (aiming light) will not be off immediately, but can still continue to read the bar code, without induction again. When no bar code passes, after the "word reading time", the light will be off, and the next induction will be entered.
