Type of two-dimensional bar code
Like the one-dimensional bar code, the two-dimensional bar code has many different encoding methods, or code system. As far as these codes are concerned, they can usually be divided into the following two types:
1) Row type two-dimensional bar code
Row type 2D barcode (also known as stacked 2D barcode or layered 2D barcode), its coding principle is based on one-dimensional barcode, which is stacked into two or more lines as required. It maintains some characteristics of one-dimensional bar code in coding design, verification principle and reading mode, and the reading equipment is compatible with barcode printing and one-dimensional bar code technology. However, due to the increase of the number of lines, the line needs to be judged, and its decoding algorithm and software are not exactly the same as one-dimensional bar code. Representative row type two-dimensional bar codes are: Code49, PDF417, etc.
2) Matrix 2D barcode
Matrix 2D barcode (also known as checkerboard 2D barcode) is encoded in a rectangular space through the different distribution of black and white 40 pixels in the matrix. It is a new type of graphic symbol automatic reading processing code system based on computer image processing technology and combination coding. Representative two-dimensional Matrix bar codes include: Hanxin Code, Code One, QR Code, Data Matrix, etc.
