What is the store code
When you are shopping in the supermarket, some fruits, vegetables, fresh meat and other products need to be weighed randomly for sale. After the weighing is completed, a label will be printed and pasted on the goods. There is a barcode on the label, which is the store code. Store code is a temporary code and bar code for the store to facilitate the management of the store. It can only be used in the automatic management system of the store.
The store code generally adopts the EAN-13 code used in the commodity bar code, which is composed of 13 bits of data. There are three commonly used bar code structures:
1. Prefix code + type code + price code + check code; This structure consists of a 2-bit prefix code, a 5-bit type code, a 5-bit price code and a 1-bit check code.
The bar code is made using EAN-13, where 21 represents the prefix and 06013 represents the type, and is compiled by the seller himself. 04008 represents the amount of goods, the last digit is the check code, which is generally automatically generated by the barcode software.
2. 2-bit prefix code + 5-bit type code + 5-bit weight code + 1-bit check code, similar to the structure of the first one.
3. 2-bit prefix code + 5-bit type code + 5-bit item code + 1-bit check code.
Because the in-store code only has a prescribed prefix and there is no uniform regulation on the code such as the product category, it can only be used in the same supermarket and cannot be shared between supermarkets.
