Bar code level is divided into A, B, C, D, F five levels, the higher the bar code level, the easier it is to identify. If the bar code generation software set the bar code level to level A, bar code scanning still cannot achieve the desired effect, how to solve the problem? In fact, in addition to setting the bar code level in the bar code generation software, we also need to pay attention to the scanning situation, only after fully understanding, can improve the scanning reading ability, notes are as follows:

1. For some bagged goods, the barcode symbol is printed near the edge of the bag. Although it was qualified after printing, the bar code could not be correctly read due to deformation and wrinkling after loading the content. The correct method is to avoid contact heads and deformed parts when designing bar code locations. It is best to pack the contents of the bag first, look at the flat part, and print the barcode symbol in this position.

2. For some goods, check whether the barcode symbol is qualified when unpacking the carton. However, when folding the carton, the barcode symbol part is covered or the left and right blank areas are insufficient. This should be taken into account when designing bar code locations.

3. It is common for beverages, especially polyester bottled drinks, to be incorrectly designed. However, bar code symbols are usually printed on plastic labels. After the label is attached to the bottle, the appearance of the bottle becomes uneven and wrinkled, making the barcode symbol cannot be read correctly. In this case, the shape of the bottle should ensure that the label section is smooth.

4. In pursuit of product upgrading, most products are covered with heat shrinkable film, which also leads to unqualified bar codes. After the heat shrinkable film shrinks, it cannot square shrink at the corners of the goods, forming wrinkles, and the barcode symbol cannot be correctly read in this position.

5. When other contents are marked on the goods, the production date, production batch number, shelf life and other contents are often incorrectly marked on the bar code symbol, resulting in unqualified bar code. Packaged foods are marked with pad printing inks and hand printers. Some boxes have a bar code position on the other side of the design, corresponding to the marked date position, and pad printing inks need to be dried for a period of time after printing, fast drying inks need 2-5 seconds, slow drying inks need more than 5 seconds. Press the box after marking the date, and the wet ink will contaminate the bar code symbol on the other box, and the amount of accumulated ink will contaminate and smudge, making it impossible to read properly. This should be taken into account when designing bar code locations.

6. Frozen food of special commodities, such as ice cream, when taken out after refrigeration, due to the low temperature, there is a thin layer of ice on the surface, which is completely or partially covered with bar code symbols and cannot be read correctly. These items are seasonal and short-term, so they are best used in store code.

7. Some products, especially children's products, place markers and small toys between the heat-shrinkable film and the product in order to attract customers. It is common to add 3d crystal glue to bubble gum, which often hides some or all of the barcode symbols, making them unreadable.
