Differences between FBA delivery barcode and manufacturer barcode
Amazon Logistics commodity barcodes require that Amazon Logistics use barcodes to identify and track inventory throughout the delivery process. Every product that a seller sends to the Amazon Center must be labeled with a bar code. The seller can use two types of bar codes to identify the product:
Manufacturer barcode (eligible barcodes include UPC, EAN, JAN or ISBN)
Amazon Barcode (ASIN, FNSKU (code128), or Seller SKU)
Manufacturer's bar code
If you use the manufacturer barcode, when a buyer purchases your product, Amazon can send the item closest to the buyer to the buyer, even if you did not send the item to the Amazon Operations center.
Note: If you use the manufacturer's barcode, you do not need to attach the Amazon barcode to each item yourself.
Amazon Bar Code
Amazon barcodes are required for items that are not tracked using the manufacturer's barcode, items with an expiration date, and consumer and topical items such as skin creams, shampoos or cosmetics.
For items that use Amazon barcodes, you can print your own barcode and stick it on the item, or you can sign up for Amazon's logistics service and have Amazon print and paste it on the item.
The difference between the two:
FNSKU
Amazon bar code --X00 beginning ------ will not mix hair mix
Each SKU corresponds to an ASIN and an FNSKU
FNSKU
Manufacturer's bar code -B0 beginning ---- Mixed hair mixed
Labels beginning with B0 cannot be affixed, but UPC barcodes or DCID, EAN, JAN, or ISBN barcodes.
If a tag starting with B0 is placed, it may result in rejection or Listing unmarketable.
After the sticker manufacturer barcode is sold, it can't be processed effectively.
